LA PRIDE
West Hollywood is proud to have been the home of LA Pride since 1979, but LGBTQ+ pride is a year-round affair in WeHo. Whether you’re visiting for the parade or just want to experience the legendary gay bars of Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood is where you’ll find one of the loudest, proudest queer communities in LA – or the world, for that matter!

History of LA Pride
The first LA Pride kicked off in 1970 on the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall riots and quickly became an integral part of the West Coast gay liberation movement. Since that revolutionary event, LA Pride has swelled into a celebration that draws approximately 400,000 revelers annually, welcoming people of every race, religion, philosophical belief, immigration status, gender and sexual orientation.
Plan Your Visit
