May – Russian Arts and Culture Week
The 16th annual event will be held in early May—and it’s a huge community event with the highest concentration of Russian speaking residents outside of New York. Free to the public, step into sights, sounds, and smells of former Soviet Union Republics including the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, Latvia, and Uzbekistan. Enjoy music, food, crafts and jewelry, art exhibits, live theater, games and competitions plus tons of exhibits by local businesses. Check back for 2017 dates to be announced.
May – One City One Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival
Fun and educational, this festival starts May 22 and extends through June. You can view films, hear finalists of the Lamda Literary Awards, and soak up extraordinary music. Check back for dates to be announced. View a roundup of the 2016 festival.
June – Pride Month
Parades, music and much more, oh my! Produced by the nonprofit Christopher Street West, the 3-day mega Pride Festival is one of the largest in the US—and soooooo fun. WeHo knows how to celebrate Pride ‘cuz we do it daily. Get the details.
July – Outfest Los Angeles LGBT Film Festival
